West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club has been at the heart of Sandal since the early 1960s. Our mission is to provide social activities for the benefit of the West Yorkshire Community and the local Wakefield Community for the promotion of their health and wellbeing.

West Yorkshire Sports and Social Club is the ideal setting for gatherings and sporting events for all, from birthday parties to Sports Club end-of-year presentations in the function room, or a place to relax watching the TV in the seating area.

The club is currently the home to many Sports teams providing variety and an opportunity for the community to keep active and play sports regularly.

Set on acres of picturesque grounds, the sports club boasts 11-a-side / 7-a-side / 5-a-side football pitches, 2 Floodlit Tennis courts, a Multi-use tarmac sports area, and 2 bowling greens.

Inside the Club is a variety of weekly activities from Bounce Fitness classes, Quiz night, and Entertainment events provided by the club.
